Since 2001, with indie group Swan Lee’s debutalbum ‘Enter’, Pernille Rosendahl has gained a special place in the Danish music scene. A position she emphasized when in 2016 she released her first solo album ‘Dark Bird’. The album combines Pernille’s sense of fine, refined pop melodies with a bluish tone of melancholy.
After ‘Dark Bird’, Pernille has been working on an EP, which will be released in the spring 2019.
Combining her love for creating music and helping upcoming artists, she accepted the role as judge in the wordwide known TV serie; X-Factor and was a huge success during the 3 seasons she participated.
Recently Pernille Rosendahl has written music for a dance performance during Aarhus 2017, called ‘Love You Forever’, which is part of a trilogy of Susanne Bier’s film combining opera, musical and a dance show. The show has attracted many positive critics, described as ‘a passionate piece of dance theater’.
Last year, Pernille Rosendahl started the women’s choir, KORAGE, together with the friend Sharin Foo from Raveonettes, and consists of Hannah Schneider, Karen Mukupa, Josephine Philip, Rebekah Maria, Kristina Holgersen and Louise Alenius Boserup.
